Description
The synthetic BRAF V600E (GAA) DNA is a linear plasmid that contains a 773 bp DNA fragment of the human BRAF-V600E (GAA) gene. The DNA insert covers the BRAF-V600 (GAA) mutant codon and 5′- and 3′-flanking regions. The BRAF V600E (GAA) plasmid DNA is verified by Sanger sequencing and linearized.
Mutant BRAF has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several cancers, including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, papillary thyroid cancer, and ovarian cancer. BRAF is altered in 6.01% of all cancers with colon adenocarcinoma, cutaneous melanoma, lung adenocarcinoma, melanoma, and thyroid gland papillary carcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations. BRAF V600E is present in 3.05% of cancer cases, with colon adenocarcinoma, thyroid gland papillary carcinoma, cutaneous melanoma, melanoma, and lung adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence.
With Synthetic BRAF V600E (GAA) DNA you are able to
Analyze the sensitivity of BRAF PCR assay
Gain certainty of the limit of BRAF detection
Optimize and validate new cancer panels
Routinely monitor the performance of your BRAF assay
