Description
The synthetic IDH1 R132H DNA is a linear plasmid that contains a 573 bp DNA fragment of the human IDH1 R132H (CAT) gene. The DNA insert covers the IDH1-R132H (CAT) mutant codon and 5′- and 3′-flanking regions. The IDH1 R132H plasmid is verified by Sanger sequencing and linearized.
The IDH1 gene (isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (NADP+), soluble) encodes for the isocitrate dehydrogenase [NADP] cytoplasmic protein, an epigenetic modifier. IDH1 is frequently mutated in glioma and acute myeloid leukemia, among other cancer types. IDH1 R132H is present in 1.45% of AACR GENIE cases, with oligodendroglioma, anaplastic astrocytoma, astrocytoma, anaplastic oligodendroglioma, and conventional glioblastoma multiforme having the greatest prevalence. In addition, IDH1 R132H is a predictive biomarker for use of ivosidenib in patients. Acute myeloid leukemia, cholangiocarcinoma, and chondrosarcoma have the most therapies targeted against IDH1 R132H or its related pathways.
