Synthetic Renilla Luciferase mRNA

Synthetic Renilla Luciferase mRNA

MRNA1007. In stock N/A , .

The synthetic Renilla luciferase mRNA expresses the Renilla luciferase protein when transfected into mammalian cells. The codons of Renilla luciferase are optimized for expression in mammalian cells. The synthetic Renilla luciferase mRNA has a Cap-1 and a 3′-polyA120 tail for optimized expression in mammalian systems. It also has a 100% substitution of the modified nucleotide N1-methylpseudouridine, which enhances the translation and reduces the innate antiviral response to single-stranded mRNA.

Renilla luciferase is commonly used in mammalian cell cultures to measure both gene expression and cell viability. It emits bioluminescence in the presence of the substrate, coelenterazine.
