However, due to the presence of large proportions of non-specific antibodies in sera, the specific titer of the isolated antibodies turns very low. Therefore, antigen-based affinity purification method is more favorable.
Antigen-based antibody purification requires immobilization of the peptide to agarose beads. We have various chemistries to conjugate the peptide to agarose beads. The peptide can be immobilized by amino, carboxyl, thiol or hydrazide groups. The typical yield of the peptide is greater than 95%.
